Sorry I haven't been consistent on my fishing reports. It has been a very busy winter for me. Stay tuned as a new skinny water boat is on the way.

Finally it feels like summer is on its way. I look so forward to this time of year . With the water temps in the mid 70s and the air temps in the 80s, the fishing seems to gets better and better each passing day. Our game Fish that have been deep in the backcountry all winter are now coming out to feed. Snook , tarpon, redfish and sea trout have been my main targets. Live bait is always the preferred method to catching good numbers of fish all day. If you haven't fished with me yet this winter now is the time to come enjoy some of the finest backcountry fishing in the world !!!!!

Hope you all had a Happy New Year? What can I say 85 degrees in January "REALLY" !!!!! The new year has started off with a bang. Fishing has been on fire due to great weather we have been having. Everything from Snook, big Jacks, redfish, trout, pompano and even some small tarpon in the backcountry. Live bait is still Hott ticket to getting constant action. I have been fishing the outside points due to the low morning tides. When the water switches to incoming I have been moving deep in the back country to find some nice redfish and snook action. I recently had the great pleasure of fishing with Chris for 2 full days. Here are a few of the fish he caught. Thanks again Chris looking forward to next time.

The late winter and early spring dates fill up fast, so call and reserve your fishing dates now !!!!!

Whether you are casting live bait or flyfishing, fishing the beaches or brackish protected waters of the back country of the mangrove islands for snook, the vast grass flats for trout and redfish, or the more open waters of Southwest Florida for shark, tarpon, or grouper or snapper, you'll find Capt. Tim fishing somewhere around Naples or Marco Island. The weather changes, the fish migrate in and of Naples, 10,00 Islands area with the seasons but the awesome fishing action remains the same throughout the year.

Here's what you can expect during the year around Naples, Marco Island and the 10,000 Islands
Jan.-Mar.
Speckled trout may be fished year round, but winter time is when you find the bigger trout in the 20 inch plus range. Fishing the grass flats with plastic jigs is just one of the ways to find huge 25 inch "GATOR" trout. Move to the canals and you find sheephead, black drum, snook, flounder and grouper

Apr.-June
Trout are still in a abundance on the grass flats. The really big breeding redfish start showing up on the flats. The biggest problem you will have is finding a redfish small enough to keep. The snook start finding their ways out from the mangroves to the flats. Move out to the beaches around Naples and Marco Island. Spring time is when the fishing action heats up on the beaches. Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, sharks and cobia start their migration. Late spring starts the "SILVER KINGS" season. The annual migration of 100 plus pound tarpon make their way down.

July-Sept.
By the time July gets here the tarpon action is off the hook. Summer time is the annual snook spawn as fish move out to the passes to the beaches. Snook fishing is strictly release fishing. On the flats, trout and redfish are always a good bet this time of year. Summer time is also when you will see the sharks. There are some 10 species of shark in and around Marco Island and the 10,000 Islands.

Oct.-Dec.
The king and spanish mackerel have reversed direction and large schools of fish start to show up just a few hundred yards from the beach. There is still some pretty good tarpon fishing to be done. The bottom fishing is an added bonus with both grouper and flounder.
