I would have to say that most of my clients use spinning gear. Easy to cast and with the braided line you can cast a mile. Whether its live bait, casting top water plugs, or jigging the deep holes, anglers of all ages and skill levels tend to use this piece of fishing equipment. I use sunny custom rods with Okuma(EPIXOR) reels spooled up with 15 lb. power pro.
For the ultimate challenge, fly fishing is the way to go. I get anglers from all around the worl d that come to south Florida to fly fish for our Tarpon, Snook and Red fish.. It’s here, deep in the back country of the 10,000 islands, where we will pole the endless mangrove shorelines and hunt these local fish. I carry all the new Orvis products such as the Helios rods(the lightest saltwater fly rod ever made) and the Battenkill reels. I am an ORVIS (www.orvis.com) endorsed fly fishing guide and I am an instructor at the Everglades Angler Fly school here in Naples, FL.
