Captain Eric was top notch. Very patient as some of the techniques were a little new to me. I caught a personal best 13+ pound catfish, numerous 4+ pound smallmouth, hooked a musky, and caught a first time and personal best almost 8 lb Drum. Had an absolute blast and Captain Eric is a great fisherman, great teacher and all around great man! Highly recommend him and when I’m up this way again I’ll definitely be giving him a call. Thank you Eric!

We booked a charter for my son's birthday who is very excited about fishing. The first date we chose had to be rescheduled due to high winds, which I very much appreciated since it showed that Captain Eric is committed to his passengers safety and comfort during the charter. We had a great experience on Captain Eric's boat. His boat and equipment were great, we caught the biggest fish we have ever caught! He took special care in answering all our questions about fishing Lake St. Clair and he was very patient and kind with my son in catching all the fish and managing the poles. We had a great time with Captain Eric, I highly recommend booking with him and we will definitely be back for another charter.

We booked this charter to take a 3rd generation wanna be fisherman (child) out on his first charter. Captain worked hard to get us on some fish as the bite was pretty cold for our morning charter. The Captain never gave up. His interaction with the new fisherman was outstanding. He was patient and very nice while answering all the normal kid questions.

Captain Eric is an amazing Captain, I went with my dad and my 9 year old son. Eric was patient with my son and answered all of his silly questions. He made sure we had a great time and any questions or concerns were answered. I'm planning on booking with him again next time and many times after that

I took my 10- and 7-year-old nephews out on a multi-species charter with Captain Eric, and it was an unforgettable experience. He was extremely friendly, patient, and great with the kids, even when their attention wandered. His deep knowledge of the area and passion for fishing made the trip both fun and educational. Safety was always a priority, and his welcoming personality made the day even better. We had an amazing time and will definitely be booking another trip soon!

If you’re looking for a fun and successful fishing trip, Captain Eric with Get Hooked Fishing Charters is the perfect guide! I took three 13-year-old boys on a trip, and they had an absolute blast. Captain Eric came prepared with live bait, high-quality rods, and a Fish Finder, teaching us effective techniques to get the fish biting—and it worked! The boys were busy reeling them in and loving every minute. He’s great with all ages, easy to talk to, and even helped us find extra gear at the marina for fishing back at our Airbnb. The 5 hours flew by, and before we knew it, he was expertly filleting our catch. We had such an amazing experience that I’d return to Lake St. Clair and Anchor Bay/New Baltimore just to fish with him again. While no one can guarantee results, Captain Eric’s hard work and dedication make it hard to imagine coming up empty. 10/10 recommend—can’t wait for the next trip

We booked a fishing trip with Captain Eric for my 32nd birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We caught countless Perch, enjoyed some exciting fights with big fish, and had an absolute blast from start to finish. Captain Eric’s knowledge, kindness, and great personality made the trip even more enjoyable. There’s nothing better than learning from a seasoned expert, having great conversations, and reeling in fish while listening to great tunes on the water. Huge thanks to Eric for an amazing day! Captain Eric was absolutely amazing and accommodating to my husband and me, along with two friends visiting from Tucson, AZ. For the three of us, it was our first time fishing on a big lake, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Eric’s experience and knowledge made all the difference, and we learned so much throughout the trip. We took home plenty of delicious Walleye, while my husband reeled in a huge Catfish, which we released to fight another day. Our friends were truly impressed by Eric’s expertise, patience, and willingness to share his skills. His boat and fishing gear were top-notch, and he was fully prepared to make our trip a success. We had an absolute blast fishing with Captain Eric, and he was a huge part of what made our charter so incredible. Our goal was simple—catch fish, and then catch some epic fish—and we did both! Of course, we know fishing can be hit or miss, but this trip was nothing short of amazing. We landed six different species, including tons of Walleye, White Bass, Yellow Perch, a big Drum, a monster Channel Catfish, and even a Musky! We even hooked a flag with a little Bass attached—definitely a first! Huge thanks to Captain Eric for being such a kind, knowledgeable, and personable guide. He made the experience unforgettable, and we can’t recommend him enough. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
